Rehabilitation Exercises
Rehabilitation Exercises
Here at The Lynch Clinic we offer a full scale of Rehabilitation exercises. Our main goal is to create a balance within the body. It is very important that we create a proper foundation for our body weight to rest upon.
When a muscle is over-tightened on one side of a joint and weakened on the other side, we have an imbalance at the joint. This can cause postural imbalances and inefficient movement at a joint. Only through proper rehabilitation and chiropractic care can we see a balance be restored to a joint, correcting posture, restoring proper range of motion, and decreasing or eliminating pain. Picture a tent. The tent poles and guide wires keep the tent standing strong and balanced. The tent poles represent the spine and the guide wires represent the muscles and tendons. Both are important in keeping the structure of the tent sound. If there is an imbalance in tension on one side of the other, the tent becomes much more vulnerable to collapsing, and the structure of the tent is no longer safe.
When the body becomes out of balance, the structures that support our bodies in the standing position become damaged and this improper usage of the spine will cause premature wear and tear, and eventually pain. It is like driving your car without an alignment. The ride is bumpy and the tires wear improperly and sooner than normal. Rehabilitation activities can help with this balance and support the proper positions of the spine. The bones and muscles work hand in hand to keep our bodies in motion and functioning properly. That is why rehabilitation exercises , adjustments and massage are very important in getting and keeping you out of pain.
